Thank you for your interest in the Bishop Sullivan Ministry Scholarship Fund.

In order for your request to be considered, please take note of the following:

*Deadline for scholarship applications for Summer term:  May 9, 2008

Notification of fund distribution will be made on:  June 1, 2008

*Deadline for scholarship applications for Fall term:  August 15, 2008

Notification of fund distribution will be made on:  September 2, 2008

A complete application will consist of the following:

1.  Application form

2.  Program information and letter of intent

3.  Letter of recommendation contact information

4.  Letter of recommendation

Grant monies may be applied to:

• Certificate studies in ministerial training programs.

• Graduate degree programs in Theology, Pastoral Ministry or related fields.

• Post-graduate course work in ministry-related disciplines from an accredited institution.

• Institutes related to a specific area of ministry.

• Infrequent diocesan training beyond the means of the parish or individual.

• Bishop Helmsing Institute students (3 year program).

Awards will range from $200 - $1,000 with the amount to be determined by the Scholarship committee.

Monies will be sent directly to the sponsoring institution.  Scholarships apply only to ministerial training and formation outside undergraduate studies.  Individuals may receive one scholarship in any 12-month period.
