PUT OUT INTO THE DEEP
God calls everyone to holiness! This moment He is calling you to speak with Him, to follow His will, and to be happy. Yet, this happiness can only come about when we put ourselves completely at His service.  

The Bishop Helmsing Institute is an apostolate of the Diocese of Kansas City ~ St. Joseph designed to aid the lay faithful in knowing, loving, and serving God.  This is the very meaning of life: to love the Lord and do His will in this life that we might be united with Him in eternal bliss after death.  The Institute’s program is designed to both teach the Catholic Faith as well as advance the students in their spiritual life. This is accomplished through education, prayer and social action.  

The Institute is at the service of the people of the diocese that they might experience true happiness both in this life and the next.  We encourage you to explore further the curriculum and program of the Institute and to discern if God is calling you to grow closer to Him through this instrument of His grace.  

It is possible to say that this call to holiness is precisely the basic charge entrusted to all the sons and daughters of the Church …not a simple moral exhortation, but an undeniable requirement arising from the mystery of the Church.
