Additional requirements for the three year certification include a yearly retreat and the yearly Bishop Helmsing Conference.

Proposed 2008/2009 Year III Courses:

Fall Semester

Church History (Beginnings to 20^th Century) (6 weeks)

History and Theology of Vatican II (5 weeks)

Spiritual Writings of the Saints (4 weeks)

Call and Gifted Seminar

+ I night follow up class

Spring Semester

Tools of Evangelization & Catechesis (6 weeks)

Catholic Social Doctrine (5 weeks)

1 Elective Course (one of):*

Possible Topics:

The Teachings of Pope John Paul II ( 5 weeks)

Lives of the Saints (5 weeks)

The History of the Eucharist (5 Weeks)

Practicum in a Parish (5 week equivalent)

* Proposed topics depending on availability and interest of instructors.
